Program Description

Event Details

Get together a team of 1-5 friends and come take on a space-themed Rube Goldberg machine building challenge.  A Rube Goldberg Machine solves a simple problem in the most ridiculously inefficient way possible.  We'll start with a quick introduction to the challenge and examples to give you and your team plenty of time for ideation, design and creation. You and your team will have use of MakerLab tools and machines to bring your vision to reality.  You will be guided by a teen volunteer and librarian. We will be working Thursday, August 15 and Friday, August 16 from 2-3:30 each day.  Families are invited to join at 3:15 on August 16 for a demonstration of our builds.  All team members should be between entering grades 4-8 in Fall of 2024.

Registration opens July 1 at 8am.  Only one registration needed per team.  You may update your list of team members after registration and before class by emailing Laura.
