Event Details

Throughout this four-week workshop, participants will learn the techniques and creative processes behind surrealist assemblage, focusing on Joseph Cornell's iconic style. Cornell is known for his dreamlike shadow boxes filled with found objects and eclectic materials. His work offers a rich source of inspiration for those looking to express their artistic vision through unique and whimsical compositions. By the end of the workshop, you will have learned about the art of Joseph Cornell and created your own unique wooden box assemblage.

The library will provide materials; however, participants are encouraged to bring a collection of small objects, photographs, or other materials that speak to them.

This workshop is open to all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned artists.
