Is there a story inside you, just wanting to be told? Join Laura Cavers, Readers’ Advisor and Writing Instructor, on five consecutive Tuesday evenings (March 14 thru to April 11), to learn the techniques and elements that writers use to craft a compelling story.
Did you know that a story’s setting is more than a place, that dialogue is more than a conversation between characters, and tension and conflict is not what motivates the character to act?
In class we will discuss published short works of well-known authors to see how they use these elements. Be prepared to write in and outside of class. At the end of the series, we will hold a workshop to offer you the chance to present your work for critique, if you choose to.
This writing class welcomes anyone, at any level, interested in learning the creative craft of writing.
