This group reads broadly, with a focus on literary award winners, well-reviewed fiction, and translations. This month’s discussion is on The Friend: A Novel by Sigrid Nunez, the 2018 National Book Award Winner about death, grief, art, and love when a women loses a life-long best friend and is burdened with caring for that friend's unwanted dog.  Troubles arise, yet rich and surprising rewards lie in store for both of them.
