Program Description

Event Details

Plato called poetry an imitation of reality and Wordsworth called it a spontaneous overflow of thought and feeling.  How do you define poetry?  Would you like to appreciate it more?  Join us for a casual discussion; no lecture, just reading and interpreting poetry together. This program will meet every other month.  Register today to receive poems for analysis and discussion during the meeting.  During this meeting we will discuss poems from Pulitzer-Prize winner Sharon Olds.

Laura Cavers is the Readers’ Advisor and has been a Writing Instructor at New Canaan Library and Darien Library for over 10 years. She has an MFA in Creative Writing.
