Meet Norwalk Symphony’s Principal Harpist, Wendy Kerner. Wendy entertains and engages audiences of all ages with her interactive program that features the beauty of a 47-string concert harp. The harp was invented 5,000 years ago and soon spread to cultures around the globe. Wendy explores the amazing history of the harp, the varied types of music it can play, the stories it can tell, the pictures it paints, and the science of how the harp creates music. The program includes numerous opportunities for audience participation and some music you may recognize!
